The Journey Begins

This journey that I am on considers the thought that I might have something to offer others. My 30 year experience with the opportunity to meet people with various disabilities and their gracious ability to involve me in their lives has provided me with a unique opportunity to know those that are living good lives. They have been independent in their living, worked as co-workers within competitive employment, and enjoyed activities like vacationing. Those individuals have provided me with the opportunity to clearly understand their needs with technology.

I want to be a part of the nations movement to make accessibility a part of all instructional design experiences. To prepare information on how to design and create an experience for everyone, and that includes captioning for someone who is deaf, alternate content or described videos for those who are blind,  the ability to move through a page without a mouse (keyboard only) for those who have a physical disability and the cognitive innovation to connect with all levels of educational abilities.  I hope to provide the same experiences in instructional design for all.
